Zimbabwean-born songstress Shamiso Mapimbiro, popularly known as Sha Sha, has cemented her place as one of the biggest female Amapiano stars in the world. Affectionately dubbed the "Queen of Amapiano," Sha Sha recently opened up about her latest hits, *Ndawana* and *Eglasini*, and shared insights into her journey from Zimbabwe to South Africa, as well as her ambitions to break into the international music scene.  




**Sha Sha Talks About Her Latest Music**  


After a brief hiatus, Sha Sha returned to the music scene with two chart-topping releases. In September last year, she dropped *Ndawana*, a collaboration with Kelvin Momo and Skyes, which had fans buzzing with excitement. Shortly after, she released *Eglasini*, a summer banger featuring Tyler ICU, Scotts Maphuma, 2woshort, and Tyrone Dee.  




Speaking about the inspiration behind *Eglasini*, Sha Sha revealed that the laid-back vibe in the studio played a significant role in shaping the track. She explained:  

*"I think the vibe in the studio and the energy in the studio kind of inspired what the record was going to be 'cuz it was so laid-back and so chilled. We said we are doing a party song, a good time song, so let's try and do that. It was just vibes in the studio."*  


**Sha Sha on How She Keeps the Momentum Going**  




The BET Award-winning artist emphasised the importance of staying connected with her fans. She shared that following the success of *Ndawana* and *Eglasini*, she has been busy conducting interviews, creating content, and working on new music.  


*"We continue with the interviews, content creation, as well as more music. I'm currently still in the studio coming up with more singles for the year. Keeping in touch with my fanbase helps drive the whole momentum of what we have done with Ndawana and Eglasini."*  


**Sha Sha Talks About Being Called the Queen of Amapiano**  


Sha Sha’s journey to becoming the "Queen of Amapiano" is nothing short of inspiring. Hailing from Mutare, Zimbabwe, she spent seven years honing her craft before making waves in South Africa. She credits her mentor, Audius Mtawarira, for helping her find her voice and prepare for the success she enjoys today.  


Reflecting on her journey, Sha Sha said:  

*"I never expected it; I never saw it coming. I always believed I would do great things with my music, but I never believed that I would come to a completely different country, and being Zimbabwean, people crowning me in a different genre, in a different country—that is just God's blessing and favour."*  




**Sha Sha Sets Sights on the International Music Industry**  


Having collaborated with some of the biggest names in the South African music industry, including Kelvin Momo, Kabza De Small, and DJ Maphorisa, Sha Sha now has her eyes set on the international stage. She expressed her desire to work with global stars like Tems, Ayra Starr, and Lucky Daye.  


*"I would really love to tap into the international space right now. For me, someone who stood out is Tems, Ayra, and also Lucky Daye. I should start travelling to London, Lagos, and Nigeria to see who I will end up meeting out there."*
